January Wonder: Lease The New Chevy Cruze For $109/Month, $0 Down (Current Non-GM Lessees) (Expired)
Program valid through January 31, 2017.
The previous-generation Chevrolet Cruze was by far the most popular deal we shared, and for good reason: it was insanely cheap. We tracked nearly one hundred sub-$90/month leases, shared by our readers in December 2015, before losing count. Some folks were so pleased they went out and got multiple Cruzes, while some left the showroom with effectively a free car.
The current-generation car will set you back a bit more, but it's vastly improved over the old model. Redesigned last year, Cruze is now a genuinely competent compact with the refinement and isolation of a larger sedan. And, thanks to solid residual values and the availability of new incentives, Cruze is once again an excellent car to lease. Here's what you need to know about leasing one of Lordstown's finest.
The Lease Program
The cost of leasing a particular car is determined by its lease program, which is set by the manufacturer, and the selling price, which is set by the dealer. Here is GM Financial's lease program for 2017 Cruze through the end of January 2017:
Selling Price
A 2017 Chevrolet Cruze LT has an MSRP of $22,325. According to a third-party car shopping website, the average selling price of that model is $21,419 before incentives (Southern California zip code). We would target a selling price of $20,525, which is consistent with the best dealer ads.
Putting It Together ($109/Month, $0 Down)
Use the lease calculator below to customize your own inputs. Here's a sample 24-month lease of a 2017 Cruze LT assuming a selling price of $20,525, excellent credit, 10,000 miles per year, California residency, and use of the $2,000 Competitive Lessee incentive and acquisition fee waiver. (If you were a Farm Bureau member and found a Cruze with a Bonus Tag, you'd be looking at $66/month!)
